Where are you Located?
FGBR is located an hour and a half southwest of Wichita KS.. The Ranch is situated on 20 plus acres in the NW corner of Hazelton KS. The Office address is 200 N. Church St, Hazelton, KS 67061
What age groups do you accept?
Boys ages 12 to 17 years
How long is the program?
FGBR(Freedom gates boys ranch) is a private placement Christian home
We have both a short term program, that lasts for a minimum of 18 months, or the Long term program that allow the boys to stay on at FGBR up to-or until High School graduation.
~If the stay is longer than the 18 months(minimum) then additional skills: such as budgeting, or interview skills will be taught
What does a typical day on the Ranch look like?
The boys get 3 well balanced meals a day provided either by the House-parents or Resident staff;this time along with others throughout the day may be used as a teachable moment(i.e. a Boy may be asked to help prepare the meal). The boys also work with livestock, and work doing various chores( e.g mowing) Once a week the staff hosts a game night- trips to town and camping are other fun activities the boys participate in.

Are there income requirements' for placement
No. When FGBR started the board decided that as a ministry the most un-Christlike thing we could tell families is that they cannot get help because they don’t have money. So, we decided, in faith, to not charge any tuition to our families but to simply ask them to sacrificially support. A family’s support would never impact their child from entering the program. We also do not receive any state or federal funding. Our entire program, other than a small percentage of our mental health services, is funded by donations.
Do the boys attend school while at FGBR
Yes, we have a school on Campus that follows the Accelerated Christian Education Curriculum... overseen by a former public school teacher

Our staff holds to various denominational traditions, that said we strive daily to mirror biblical principles, and to be effective image bearers of God(See Gen 1:26-27)

What services does the ranch offer?
A formal plan of Care is created on the day of intake of the individual boy; based of his social skills, tested education level, interest(s) and physical health. An assessment will be taken every few months, because interests..etc are always changing.
