Are there income requirements for placement?
No. When FGBR started, the board decided that as a ministry the most un-Christlike thing we could tell families is that they cannot get help because they don’t have money. So, we decided, in faith, to not charge any tuition to our families but to simply ask them to sacrificially provide support. A family’s support would never impact their child from entering the program. We DO NOT receive any state or federal funding. Our entire program, other than a small percentage of our mental health services, is funded purely by donations.
Do the boys attend school while at FGBR?
Yes, we have a school on Campus that follows the Accelerated Christian Education Curriculum, overseen by a full-time teacher. Each boy will be tested upon entering our program to confirm the grade level to begin with. The teacher works closely with each boy to help him improve his grade level. If he is behind in his school, the teacher will help him to get caught up. Our school is ran year round doing 6 weeks in school followed by a 2 week break.
