Message From Our President
First, thank you all for the amazing love and support you have given to Freedom Gates Boys Ranch. With the prayerful, financial, and physical support we have received from our partners in this mission, we have been able to move closer to our goal of giving a home to boys in need.

I was reading some statistics of the Fatherhood Factor website and I am always shocked and heartbroken when I see or read the repercussions of absent fathers.

First, I would like to thank all those single moms out there that are forced to fill roles they were never supposed to fill.
After I read these statistics I wondered, “ How can we expect young men to grow up and be successful, responsible men, and be good husbands and fathers when so many have never had an example.” “How can we expect young men today to show the proper respect to elders and authority, treat women with respect and honor, work hard at their job and strive for the best, and to be men of integrity if no one has been there to show them. “
Every young man should have a choice, it is up to him if he makes that choice, but it is our responsibility to show them that they have an option to change their life. It is our responsibility to give them the tools to build their family strong. It is our job and calling to equip the young men that come through FGBR to build a life and a family that’s not a statistic.
As you may know, our community has suffered a great loss with the Anderson Creek Fire. Being the largest fire in Kansas history, there has been a tremendous financial burden in our community. The fire was located in Woods County Oklahoma, Comanche County Kansas, and the majority was in Barber County Kansas. Over 600 square miles were burned including over 1000 hay bales, hundreds of cattle, and hundreds of miles of fence. Praise God there were no injuries or fatalities with the emergency services or victims of the fire.
With the majority of the support of Freedom Gates Boys Ranch coming from our community farmers and ranchers, and with the millions of dollars in repairs needed in our community, we have found ourselves unable to financially afford to build our residence as planned. However, God always has a plan. We have been given an amazing opportunity to remodel a house and be able to start ministering to young men as soon as August.
What this house needs is the garage turned into to 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, and some minor remodeling to the rest of the house. We are rapidly pursuing this remodel. With donation of finances and materials; and, donated labor from World Mission Builders we believe this is the best way we can be the best stewards of the finances and time we have been given to help young men. In the last few months I have received many calls from families in need of our services within 60 miles of our ranch.  I am so excited to be able to tell them we may be able to help them in just a few months. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
I again apologize for this change in plans, if you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
Thank you,
Michael Simpson
